Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms apply when you download Dead Week from dead-week.com and when you use this website. If you got the game from a store (Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, itch.io), that store’s own terms of sale and licence apply to your purchase and download; the points below about what you may do with the game apply too, as long as they don’t contradict the store’s terms.
1. Your licence to play
Dead Week, its story, characters, art, music and code belong to Christophe Finas EIRL and to the artists credited in the game. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install the game and play it on your own computers.
You may not sell, rent or redistribute the game, its files or its art, or present a modified copy as the official game. You may not remove its credits or copyright notices.
2. The free demo and its codes
The free demo may be shared by linking to dead-week.com or to the game’s store pages. Please don’t re-upload its files elsewhere: links let us give everyone the latest version.
Codes that open more of the demo are free gifts. We may switch a code off at any time; what it has already opened in your save stays open.
3. Streams, videos and screenshots
You are welcome to stream Dead Week, publish videos and screenshots of it, and earn money from those videos and streams through the usual programmes of your platform (ads, subscriptions, donations). Please name the game. You may not sell the game’s music, art or story as such.
4. Changing the game for yourself
You may change your own copy of the game for your own use, for example its images or texts, and share your own changes, as long as nobody needs to pay for them and they don’t include our files. We don’t support modified copies: if something breaks, reinstall the original.
5. A game in development
The demo and Early Access versions are unfinished. Content, balance and features will change, and some parts may contain bugs. We work to keep your saves compatible from one version to the next, but cannot promise it for every change.
6. Feedback you send us
When you send feedback or vote, you let us use your ideas to improve the game, without owing you anything for them. Please keep it respectful: we may delete notes that insult people or contain personal information about others. What happens to the data you send is explained in the privacy policy.
7. Warranty and liability
The game and the site are provided as they are. We do our best to keep them safe and working, but we cannot guarantee they will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
8. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection of its consumer law, and you can bring a dispute before the courts of your own country. Before anything else, write to contact@dead-week.com: most problems are solved with one email.
9. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when the game comes out on a new store. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
